Multi Level Marketing vs Conventional Marketing

Multi-Level Marketing (MLM) has many names which also known as Network Marketing,  Direct Marketing and Referral marketing. Many people has a misconception that this type of marketing is a modern way of marketing, but the fact is that, this marketing strategy was introduced in 1932 i.e almost more than 81 years ago.

In this type of marketing, a Distributor or Consultant can earn money not only from personal sales but also from the sales of other distributors to whom they have referred or recruited. This team of sales is known as "Downline" where depending upon the sales or business volume has been classified Leadership Levels. The more business the higher the Leadership Level you can achieve and can get more rewards and bonus.

Conventional Marketing also has many names as MLM does. It can known as Traditional Marketing or  Retail Marketing. As you all know here consumer purchases products from retail shops, malls, etc. Manufactures sell their products by heavy paid advertising on media like on Newspapers, Radio, Television, Internet.

But in Direct Marketing sales of the products is upto Consultants where they approach consumer directly by means of simple advertising techniques like word of mouth advertising where consultants advertises by oral communication or by using leaflets or brochures.

Requirements required for Marketing

Conventional Marketing:
In this marketing, only professional qualified or suitable persons are required to market and improve their product sales.

Modicare or Direct Marketing:
Anyone whose age is above 18 can join and start selling Modicare Products by following few guidelines and their training programs. There's no requirement of any previous experience and also there is no requirement of any kind of educational qualification.

Advertising Methods

Conventional Marketing:

As mentioned earlier, here manufacturer is responsible for advertisements. They get a marketing or advertising team and advertises their products through a media where they can get more viewers of their ads so that they can sell their products.

The possible medium of ads can be Newspapers, Radio, Television, Billboards, Internet, etc which are very costly.

Modicare or Direct Marketing:
Here word of mouth advertisement is done which is more effective than conventional. They prefer people from family, friends, neighbours, colleagues and others. Even few of consultants go for leaflets or brochures which are low cost advertisements. But word of mouth advertisement is more powerful and effective than any other methods because people like to share their reviews or experiences of products they use. And even they recommend to use the products which they felt satisfied.
